Tanya Vogel

Tanya Vogel brings over 30 years of experience in athletics administration, most recently serving as Director of Athletics and Recreation at George Washington University (GW). Her journey with GW began as a standout student-athlete on the women’s soccer team, followed by 12 years as head coach. She later advanced into key leadership roles, culminating in nearly six years as Athletics Director.

During her tenure, GW Athletics achieved 19 conference championships across a range of sports, and student-athletes maintained exceptional academic standards, with a graduation success rate of 94% in 2023. Tanya led major facility upgrades, including a new videoboard at Tucker Field and renovations to the Charles E. Smith Center.

Nationally, Tanya has held influential positions on several NCAA committees, including the Women’s Soccer Championship Committee and the Amateurism Cabinet. She also chaired the Men’s Soccer Championship Committee and served on the Atlantic 10 Conference’s Athletic Director’s Council. Tanya is a graduate of the NCAA Pathway Program and the Women Leaders Executive Institute.

In 2024, Tanya joined The PICTOR Group as a consultant, where she applies her extensive experience in athletics administration, strategic planning, and leadership development to support intercollegiate athletics programs nationwide.
