Founder and President of The PICTOR Group, Cary Groth established the firm in 2014 with a mission to help intercollegiate athletics programs Rethink, Refocus, and Recalibrate. Since its founding, The PICTOR Group has partnered with over 100 clients in college athletics, delivering impactful strategic guidance.

Cary brings over 40 years of experience in intercollegiate athletics, serving as a student-athlete, head coach, and athletics administrator. As Athletics Director at Northern Illinois University and the University of Nevada, she transformed both programs into nationally competitive institutions and significantly improved student-athlete graduation rates.

A recognized leader, Cary has served on numerous NCAA and conference committees, including President George W. Bush’s Commission on Opportunity in Athletics. She was also President of Women Leaders in College Sports and received Administrator of the Year honors from multiple organizations.

Cary holds both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Northern Illinois University, where she was honored as a Distinguished Alumni and inducted into the NIU and Mid-American Conference Halls of Fame.
